We’re got a number of Marvel properties coming to the PS3 this year. Among others, there’s Marvel Super Hero Squad (for the kids), Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (for Stan Lee fans) and Iron Man 2 (for people convinced the sequel can’t be as bad as the first game) so it’s no surprise to see Marvel promoting their upcoming wares in as many ways as super-humanly possible.

And who better to promote your new game than the lovable Sackboy?

Over at Kotaku they have some renders of how the burlap mascot might appear as Wolverine, Iron Man and Captain America. It should be noted that these are still works in progress but we think it’s a safe bet that Marvel themed costumes are coming to the popular platformer.

This new marketing tactic of jumping on the Sack wagon appears to be a popular way to get people talking about your new game so it’s therefore little surprise to see these Marvel themed Sackboy costumes in the pipeline. Hey, it worked for Ghostbusters.

This is a costume theme than could literally never end. Spider-man costume? Thor? Personally, we can’t wait to see Sackboy sporting a skull t-shirt and gruff expression ala The Punisher.
