Not content to reserve his appearances to celluloid, Stan is now about to take the next logical media step with the announcement today that the enigmatic Marvel maven will make his videogame debut (also as a cameo) in Activision’s Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2.
Here’s a nice round figure for you: The LittleBigPlanet community have in total created over one million creations since the game launched at the end of last year.
That is a whopping number sure to expand further as the year goes on – dare we say 1,500,000 before Christmas?

If you’ve watched any of the trailers for Shatter, you’ve probably heard the amazing musical score that accompanies the retro gameplay with a twist. In an exclusive interview with PS3 Attitude, Mario Wynards, Managing Director of Sidhe, has stated that the game includes “over 90 minutes of high quality original music.â€
The problem with games based on movies (based on comics) is that the story of the new film quite often consists of a linear progression.
Trying to make a game around this fixed pattern can be a nightmare; especially when you consider the need for games to proffer almost constant interaction to gamers. Iron Man 2, a game (based on a movie, based on a comic) is not immune to this challenge – hence, when we do get our hands on Tony Stark and his robotic enhancements next time around, don’t expect it to religiously follow the plot of the new movie.
We’ve been waxing lyrical about VidZone since it launched on the PS3, what with the fact that it is free, contains thousands of music videos and is being updated every week with hundreds more.
But now VidZone has taken the first step towards becoming a real benefit to sales of the PS3 thanks to gaining the first exclusive showing of U2′s latest video.
Don’t worry, we’re not turning into one of those sites that gets giddy whenever a cover of a new game is revealed. Yesterday’s article was kind of a big deal and today’s gets a mention simply because the game in question is not getting enough coverage in our opinion.

Insomniac have been a valuable developer for Sony and their PlayStation 3 console. They have delivered great titles such as Resistance 1 and 2, and are in the process of developing their second Ratchet and Clank game for the PS3.
The good news for us is that they have no plans to go multiplatform in the ‘foreseeable future’…

We’ve been looking forward to the first expansion pack to release for PSN hit title WipEout HD for some time. Well it looks like the waiting is nearly up as SCEE have announced that Fury will be available to download on the 23rd of July.
If your wallet is feeling a little empty then you may want to know how much this expansion pack will cost you. We can now reveal that it will set you back £7.99 or €9.99.
If sauntering around gay Paris is more to your liking than the dusty bleakness of Martian territory, you’ll be happy to hear that Pandemic’s tale of vengeance in Nazi-occupied France, The Saboteur, will hit stores on December 4th.

The Beatles have composed over 200 songs so narrowing down the list to 45 for their upcoming version of Rock Band could be a difficult task. Announced at this years E3 were the initial ten that would be included in the game; “I Saw Her Standing There,†“I Want To Hold Your Hand,†“I Feel Fine,†“Taxman,†“Day Tripper,†Back In The USSR,†“I Am The Walrus,†“Octopus’s Garden,†“Here Comes The Sun,†and “Get Back.â€

In case you were wondering, that spells “Retro/Grade Coming to PS3″ in reverse. No we’re not crazy, but perhaps the people at 24 Carat Games are.
You see, they have devised a game that you play in reverse! The game stars fighter pilot Rick Rocket and he has just saved the universe. Only problem is, he reversed the flow of time from all of that destruction. Now, it’s your opportunity to fight through space and time…backwards of course.

After what was looking to be a stellar winter 2009 collection, it now appears the festive season will be a little less crowded – and somewhat easier on our wallets no doubt.
