Ratchet & Clank bend time in new gameplay footage
Thanks to the guys over at Joystiq, we’ve got our first glance at some new gameplay features set to entice fans in the latest edition of the consistently stellar platformer series: Ratchet & Clank.
With a sub-title of “A Crack in Time”, it’s no surprise to see the characters in the latest game poking their hands into the space/time continuum and making a few tweaks to their benefit.
The footage in question shows how it’s possible to “help yourself” in the game by recording actions and subsequently replaying them again while you then “assist”. It’s all very Marty McClank and is better understood by actually checking out the footage below.
Another reason you should give the new video a gander is to get your first peek at the winning weapon of the recent Captain Qwark’s My Blaster Runs Hot contest; a weapon idea submitted by a fan that the guys at Insomniac have deemed worthy enough to add to the lombax’s ever-growing arsenal. We could spoil it for you but – it’s worth seeing for yourself.
