White Knight Chronicles 2 “in production”
Featured in the latest edition of Japanese publication Famitsu, and then reported over at Kotaku, a we-saw-it-coming sequel to Level-5′s Shirokishi Monogatari (White Knight Chronicles to us gaijin) is in the works.
We won’t bore you with the Japanese translation (yay!) but, after squinting at some of the text, we can confirm that a “sequel” is in the “middle” of “production.”
The article in question focuses on the 2nd wave of updates set for the first game and scheduled for release this fall. You may recall that the first wave hit back in April and added a new single-player game mode. Due later this year, this next update adds the Georama town building feature from Level-5′s other well-known title Dark Cloud to the world of White Knight Chronicles.
An English version of the first game is due out early next year. Which means we’ll get the sequel when the polar ice-caps melt.
