VidZone is, without any shadow of a doubt, one of our favourite ever PS3 ‘add-ons’. Who doesn’t love to get access to hundreds of music videos on-demand?

Now, over on the Official EU PlayStation Blog, Ben Creasey has been detailing what is coming next on the music video roster, and it includes tracks specifically chosen for your barbecue. Yes, you read that right…

Described as music to ‘accompany the sound of sizzling sausages and the inevitable scream of the lost burger or wasp attack’, you can expect to see tracks from the likes of The Beach Boys, Jazzy Jeff, Scouting for Girls, Shaggy, Groove Armada and LL Cool J arriving in the BBQ Music section soon.

In addition, the good people at VidZone have been busy preparing other tasty morsels for our musical palates.

A new ’90s collection will see the likes of Ace of Base, Take That, Whitney Houston, Pulp, Oasis and The Lighthouse Family take their place in our virtual video jukebox.

A Metal Anthems section and the usual list of New Music videos are on their way too (in fact they’ve uploaded 500 since the last update), along with a special celebrity section. The celeb in question this time around is Dizzee Rascal; in addition to an interview and a live track, you’ll get a selection of music picked by the Mercury Award-winning Rascal himself.
