Yakuza 4 announced

Welcome to PS3 Attitude. Did you know we do all this for charity?

Yakuza 4The tattoos have barely healed since their last encounter with gruff Japanese mobsters, and already Japan is set to get a new Yakuza game.

Entitled Ryu ga Gotoku 4: Densetsu wo Tsugu Mono (Yakuza 4 : Heir to the Legend), series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi will stick with a modern setting while focusing on an area in Tokyo called Kamiyacho.

This time around we have two protagonists, a detective named Masayoshi Tanimura and the yang to his yin, Takeshi Kido, a member of the Japanese underground or “Yakuza”.

The game will feature popular Japanese film stars Kenta Kiritani and Hiroki Narimiya, the latter a real favourite with the teenage population of Japan.

Want to check out Kiritani-san and Narimiya-san recording their dialogue? Of course you do. Sega have released some images of the two megastars as they are scanned so their likeness can be used in the game along with the actors recording dialogue for the new game.

This guy can't walk down the street in Japan.

Still no sign of Yakuza 4’s precursor, Yakuza 3, getting an English-speaking release. We’re still asking Sega about it though. Nichinichi
