Though still very much steeped in myth and hearsay, when a popular online retailer lists a pre-order scheme for the still unconfirmed PS3 slim, we sit up and take notice.

This is exactly what has happened with the German branch of Amazon now taking orders for what some people are calling Sony’s relaunch of the PS3 console.

With Gamescom just around the corner, we’re thinking Amazon.de may have jumped the gun in preparation of the big reveal. No word on price, date or details regarding the bundle in question but we’re assuming such information wil come to light when the slimmed down version is officially announced.

Or we’re all still in the Matrix and the slim doesn’t really exist. It’s possible.
