Eidos Interactive will release a Batman: Arkham Asylum demo on the PSN (and XBL) this Thursday, August 7th.

Using the summer to polish the game to an inch of its digital life, we’ve been assured that this time has been well spent in making this not only the best Batman game of all time, but perhaps even the best super-hero game ever, period.

The demo will consist of the opening act from the game with The Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon ferrying the sociopathic and unhinged Joker to Gotham’s legendary funny-farm. At which point The Joker’s ruse is revealed and all hell breaks loose.

The full game will be released on August 24th.
