Dragon Age: Origins – Lead Designer talks opening
Fantasy lovers disappointed at Bioware’s recent announcement confirming Dragon Age: Origins’ release delay will have to console themselves with this look at the game’s opening scenes narrated by Lead Designer Mike Laidlaw.
Mike talks us through the game’s premise, introducing your main character and the motives behind why you like nothing more than putting your sword through enemies.
The video also describes the opening of the game when, after been attacked while you sleep, your bedfellow is promptly disposed of and you then have to team up with your own mother to repel the legion of enemies while searching for your father. Who just so happens to be the second most powerful man in the land.
Watch as blood flies akimbo and magic erupts in what looks like some spectacular action sequences.
Oh, and Mike’s favourite origin? City-elf, playing as a female. Sure, whatever floats your boat Mike.
