ModNation Racers was first revealed at E3 earlier in the year.

It was there we first got a glimpse at this, the next in the PlayCreateShare series of games.

And it wowed the audience with the innovation it demonstrated.

GamesCom was the perfect place to show off the new trailer for the game, highlighting the ease with which a track can be laid down and adjusted.

But there are some neat new things worth noting in this latest footage.

First off, note that there is a middle-eastern theme. We suspect that there will be several ‘themes’ to choose between, a la LittleBigPlanet. Not only that, we notice that there are several different road surfaces to select from.

One of the main things we are noticing from the gameplay we have seen thus far is whether or not you will play through a story mode to unlock the tools used in track production in the same way as you do in LBP. Certainly that would make the most sense in terms of delivery.

Anyway, for now we have to just let the footage do the talking seeing as solid details are few and far between.
