Sony’s Get in the Game development program returns
Partners Pixel-Lab, Northwest Vision and Sony have announced that the successful Get in the Game development program will run again this year.
Founded in 2008 as a way to entice and encourage digital developers to produce content for the PlayStation Network, five winning companies will receive a £10,000 grant each to fully realise their product and potentially have it released on Sony’s digital distribution platform.
The subsidy program is in conjunction with Pixel-Lab and Northwest Vision (the companies who are actually putting up the grant money) and will kick-off with a three day pitching event in October.
The successful candidates will then have a chance to present their ideas to Sony’s XDev Studio Europe under the guidance of SCEE.
The Get in the Game program has proved extremely productive so far with two of the five concepts that received commission last year now under consideration at Sony.
