PSN Down-Time
The PlayStation Network is going to have some maintenance work done later today, Tuesday 25th August.
Unfortunately, this also means that we will not be able to get onto the network between 4:15pm and 9:05pm (BST).
But what does this mean for us gamers?
Aside from meaning that we can’t get our online groove on, we don’t know details of what ‘maintenance’ means.
While no-one is saying what is being done specifically, we could hazard a guess.
Whatever the reason, you will not be able to sign on to the network between the above mentioned times.
However, if you read the note over on the PS EU Blog there is a potential workaround…
If you’re already signed in before the maintenance begins, however, you should be able to stay connected to the PSN servers. It is likely that you’ll be disconnected and required to sign back in once the PSN comes back up at 9:05pm, though.
Not only that, there are some very interesting comments over at the Blog, particularly number 48.
Anyway, we’ll see you on the other side…
