With all the furore about frame-rates, the benefit of BD textures and other technical issues, we’ve kind of lost sight of what id’s Rage is actually all about. Mutants – and the mass killing of them.

What sticks out to us is how the vehicular combat doesn’t seem to be just tacked on as a gimmick or after-thought. That and the heart-pounding chaos when mutants attack.
