GC09; Sony motion controller developers’ update

Submitted by on Wednesday, 19 August 20093 Comments

sony-motion-controller-in-actionWe know that Sony’s E3 motion controller announcement wasn’t the most popular for some of you, but you can’t deny its significance for the PlayStation brand.

Love it or loathe it, at Sony’s Gamescom conference yesterday, a developers’ update video for the controller was shown to the world.

The clip that we have attached to this article above reminds us what makes it different from anything else on the market, and also includes previews of some demos rendered in HD graphics.

Although it didn’t have as much of a presence at the show as we were expecting, there is no doubt that the controller will take a bigger portion of Sony’s conference at TGS.

Most of all, we’re hoping that Sony don’t force this method of control down our throats through their big games next year. Instead, games designed especially for the controller, and the use of it as an optional extra for other titles is the best way going forward in our opinions.

Please as ever share your opinions of the motion controller in the comments below, and whether the video above have changed your opinion of the accessory.
