Remember the Square Enix countdown website with the letters VII? Although we didn’t get our hopes up too high, the first thing that sprung to mind was Final Fantasy VII and whether it was counting down to an announcement for another spin-off, or even a remake – if that ever happens.

Well none of that is true, as it is in fact an announcement for Lord of Vermilion II.

You won’t be told off if you have never heard of the franchise before, after all it has only been released in Japan and IS NOT a PlayStation 3 title.

Never mind, Square Enix knew exactly what they were doing when they chose to put the letters ‘VII’ on a webpage, and it is just disappointing that this is a game that will likely never see a release outside of Japan, or on the PS3.
