For as long as we can remember, Final Fantasy fans have been nudging Square Enix to remake their most favourite game in the franchise; FF VII.

The PSOne classic recently hit the PlayStation Stores around the world and the request for a remake has never been higher.

Speaking at Gamescom last week, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase refused to deny the possibility of them revisiting the game:

As for a VII remake, all I can advise right now is to play the PSN release that just came out for the time being. Maybe, perhaps we’ll have some news for you at a later time

Who knows, they could be at the very early stages of making a remake right now, as he certainly isn’t dampening our hopes.

In our eyes there is no reason for the developers not to answer their fans. There is no doubt that it would be a huge commercial and financial success for the company, and gamers would finally shut up about it.
