We knew it was coming, but now it’s official: The 250GB slim PS3 is real, and will be coming to the UK and Europe.

For just £284.99 and €349, you can buy a 250GB PS3 with two platinum titles or inFamous from the 1st of October.

This price point is very significant because it will only cost an extra £35 or €50 for over double the hard drive space and one or two games compared to the standard 120GB PS3.

Most likely the new Xbox 360 250GB announcement is partly the reason for this super deal, and without it the price would most likely have been at £299 and €399 – isn’t competition a great thing!

But there’s more: When Uncharted 2 releases in Europe on the 16th of October, Uncharted 2 will also be bundled with the new model. Furthermore, on the 19th of October, a Blu-ray pack will be added that includes the Dark Knight, Wolverine and a Blu-ray remote.

Finally, Japanese users will also be able to buy a special edition 250GB Final Fantasy XIII model from the 17th of December, and it will sport the following cool design:
