‘AFL Legacy Pack’ Coming to Madden NFL 10

10127992Old-school American football fans rejoice! Recently, EA Sports announced the ‘AFL Legacy Pack’ which is coming soon to Madden NFL 10.

You remember the AFL, right?  The American Football League was an integral part in creating the game of football we have today, and helped give birth to the NFL we all currently know and love.

So what exactly does this pack entail?

The AFL Legacy Pack will include all 8 original AFL teams from the 1960’s, all accurately represented in their original jerseys.

During these Legacy games, all field and jersey logos/icons will correctly correspond to their appropriate era, as will the referee uniforms, but the detail doesn’t stop there.  These games will be displayed with a completely different ‘grainy’ 1960’s style broadcast.  To go along with this new classic-style presentation will be a retro football-card interface.

There are 15 of these legacy games total to be had in the 2009 NFL season, and all can be played with the new content during off-line franchise, superstar mode and play now mode.

The AFL Legacy Pack hits the PlayStation Store on September 24 for a price of $6.99.  Until then, hopefully this trailer will hold you over.
