20 Minutes of Assassin’s Creed 2 Gameplay Footage
Assassin’s Creed was derided following release for being too repetitive.
It could certainly be argued that the missions were quite similar and lacked the depth that some other sandbox games vaunted. This one issue seemed to mar the otherwise undeniable success of the game.
Since the reveal of the sequel, this has – perhaps justifiably? – been the major concern of both the media and public alike. Now it seems that we can start to put these concerns to bed once and for all.
We came across some shaky-cam footage of in-game action today, and suffice to say it looks far more varied than the original.
Taken from PAX 09, the footage shows off some new details about the game including improved interfaces and new game mechanics in action, such as the Haystack Kill™.
There are three videos to get through – the first of which is up top there – but it is well worth doing. The videos have been coded using a trial program, but the overlay goes away after thirty seconds or so.
Personally, we can’t wait for the days to get shorter.
