Comet Crash coming to Europe this October; free U.S. update as well

Submitted by on Tuesday, 22 September 2009No Comment

Comet crashComet Crash was released last April on the North American PSN Store. Finally, our European friends will be able to defend their towers from the massive waves of enemy ships when the game is released October 8th. Unfortunately there will be no cross-continental games occurring because the game only features offline multiplayer. Bummer.

But look on the bright side. Campaign mode includes 28 levels that can be played by 1-4 players and then there is Battle mode supporting 2-4. There is hope for online though. In a comment made by John Bates on the PlayStation.Blog, he says that they will be running a test in the near future to see if the game can function online with 1000s of units. If the results are positive, then we might be seeing online soon.

For U.S. residents who already own the game, an update will be released in a few weeks with remastered soundtracks, graphic tweaks, language support, and a layout optimized for SDTVs.
