Fat Princess New Pork Gameplay video, new patch coming

fatprincesslogowhite Fat Princess New Pork Gameplay video, new patch coming Showcased at PAX over in Seattle last week, friend-of-the-site (yes, we’re going to mention that every single time) Jeff Rubenstein from the PlayStation blog was privy to some new and exciting developments in the land of cake and, well, more cake.

Fat Princess is to get a new DLC map entitled New Pork that will not only allow players to unleash havoc on one another, but also feature new gameplay.

The irony of the new map’s name and the outbreak of Swine Flu (H1N1 virus) at PAX hasn’t been lost on us but we’ll try and focus on the new stuff and wish those stricken with the ailment while at PAX a speedy (and game-filled) recovery.

New Pork presents a tonne of new stuff for eager cake-stuffers. As the video below shows, elevation has come to Titania allowing players to utilise height to their offensive advantage. There are now also barricades strewn about the city which can only be overcome by teams working together.

Described as “a big one” in terms of scale, the map is tightly designed to allow as much confrontation as possible. Secret passages are also scattered about the area including some that will proffer a team significant advantages over their adversaries.

In other Fat Princess news, update patches will continue until the guys at Titan are convinced the game is as robust and balanced as possible. A new patch is scheduled (also very soon) which will tweak voting, team switching and will do away with the old ranking system. Apparently people didn’t like the 10 Game Average feature so it’s now being replaced with something new.

No news on price, dates (other than very soon) for New Pork or if the new classes hinted at previously will feature but we’re sure we’ll know all the details over the coming weeks.

Check out Jeff and Chris Millar and Craig Leigh from Titan going through the new level below.
