Final Fantasy XIII releasing December 17th in Japan
Thanks to some clever YouTube Japan users, the date of December 17th has been uncovered for the release of probably the region’s most anticipated game of the year.
The new date was due for announcement on Tuesday, but by changing the URL of an advert for the game on YouTube, a brand new one is unveiled with the big date – oops.
So the date was only leaked out a day before the planned announcement, but Square Enix will be a little annoyed that it was done so easily.
So will you be shipping the game home? PS3 games are region-free but any downloadable content released on a country’s PlayStation Store will have to match the game’s place of origin. Therefore, you will have to be prepared to purchase the DLC from the Japan store.
Oh and obviously it will all be in Japanese! Final Fantasy XIII releases in North America and Europe next Spring.
