News is trickling in here to the Attitude Nexus that the previously promised Firmware update 3.01 (aka “Sorry we broke Uncharted” fix) is now live in some regions.

Details are sketchy at the moment but it appears that the only thing different is the aforementioned game will no longer crash like a drunk monkey driven plane.

There are other rumblings that the text is definitely smaller but we’re not going to “confirm or deny” until a) we’ve downloaded it and checked ourselves, b) wait to read the official release notes (which will probably contain nothing but “improved some stability issues with certain PS3 software blah blah blah”) or c) become a rich Nigerian from believing all the things we read on the Internet.
