Guitar Hero 5 finally topples The Bat
Welcome back to PS3 Attitude. You're a regular here, so why not visit PS3 Attitude TV too...
Despite being only available for two days of week-ending September 12th, Activision’s Guitar Hero 5 has usurped the U.K.’s top chart spot from long-standing champ Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Considering Guitar Hero is now an institution rather than just a game, if anyone is surprised by this revelation, you may have played on Expert too long and can now no longer form logical thought patterns.
Commenting on the impressive sales of Guitar Hero 5, Dan Rosenweig, President and CEO of Guitar Hero, states:
“Guitar Hero 5 is the best Guitar Hero game yet and this success validates the strength of the franchise. With Guitar Hero 5, we have assembled the best and most varied music line-up to date and added all new features that make Guitar Hero 5 the most innovative and social game in the category. We have long known how great this game is, and it is awesome to see that fans agree with us, especially fans in the U.K.”
Unfortunately Courtney Love was not available to comment on Guitar Hero 5′s sales figures as she was busy meeting with her lawyer at the time.
