Lost Planet 2 Co-Op Demo Brings Exclusive Content to the PS3

Submitted by on Thursday, 17 September 2009No Comment

Lost_Planet_1The wait is finally over. Capcom has revealed that on the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, the PSN will be getting the Lost Planet 2 co-op demo.

To help soothe the burns from the delay, PS3 owners will get to experience two additional exclusive missions in the demo.

The announcement on the PlayStation Blog also revealed that a new trailer will be hitting the PSN at the same time as the demo. While a new trailer is nice and all (showcasing a desert with even bigger enemies), let’s get into the details of the demo.

Allowing for up to four players, the Lost Planet 2 demo will have you fighting against the giant enemy crab G-Type Akrid boss from episode 1. The two additional missions will have you playing as an exterminator against the Akrid of E.D.N III.

To showcase the co-op gameplay, players will be able to heal injured partners and boost their offense and defense with new support weapons.

WARNING: Epic Boss Battle Incoming!

Lost Planet 2 takes place 10 years after the original game, and the environment shows some significant changes. The most notable change is the lack of snow everywhere and the revealing of some visually stunning jungles.

The Lost Planet 2 co-op demo hits the US and EU PSN on September 24th.
