Obsidian’s cancelled Aliens RPG engine will be used in unannounced title
Confirming to Joystiq that they won’t be discussing why their far into development Aliens RPG suddenly got canned this year until February (of 2011), Obsidian Entertainment have revealed some good news indicating how it wasn’t a total waste of time.
The engine created for the game will be used in an upcoming unannounced title.
The interview reveals that Obsidian have signed a deal just ten weeks ago for the new game which, hopefully, will actually be released this time.
Obsidian are busy bees at the moment. Finishing up the much anticipated spy thriller Alpha Protocol, they’re also hard at work on Fallout Vegas. And then there’s this new mystery game.
You know what they say, three’s a charm.
