Gran Turismo 5 is just around the corner – relatively – and the latest ‘trailer’ for the game comes in the form of a tribute to the new Ferrari 458 Italia.

Following a stunning début at the Frankfurt Motor Show, thanks in part to the unveiling by Michael Schumacher himself, Polyphony Digital created this beautiful tribute video using the GT5 game engine.

Ferrari has fitted the 458 Italia with a new 4.5-litre V8 engine developing 563bhp, enabling a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed 202mph.

Whilst the real thing will set you back around £150,000 (€165,000/$245,000), we’ll go ahead an assume the virtual version will be available for a lot less when GT5 hits retail – possibly before the end of the year.
