It was touted as one of Microsoft’s big exclusives and now that has ended with the news that one of Square Enix’s biggest games for this year will be making its way over enemy lines and onto the PlayStation 3.

Out on the 4th of February next year in Japan, Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope International will have redesigned menu screens and a reworked battle system that now has support for auto-target.

But it doesn’t have “International” on the end for no reason! The game will ship with both Japanese and English languages, and this should help it appeal to more a wider range of consumers.

There is no word yet on whether the game will arrive elsewhere, but we do fear that adding an additional English option may be in response to possible contractual constraints by Microsoft to allow the sale of the game on the PS3 outside of Japan – but at least you can ship it!
