TGS09; PixelJunk Museum Walkthrough
Can’t physically be at the Tokyo Game Show this year to see PixelJunk Shooter in action? PlayStation Home to the rescue! The virtual TGS booth for the PixelJunk series is now available to explore…in Japan.
We have a video of not only the TGS booth, but also the PixelJunk Museum itself. Be prepared to see lots of colors, glitching, and really neat PixelJunk Monsters artwork.
In the video above, the TGS09 exhibit is being displayed. Not only can you watch a trailer for PixelJunk Shooter, but you can also pick up two free shirts. Hopefully there will be a day in Home where you can actually play demos in the virtual kiosks shown. Until then, this will suffice.
The PixelJunk fun doesn’t end there. The new space based on the series has content from Racers, Monsters, and Eden. The exhibits have artwork, 3D models, and various information for fans to obtain. Sadly there are no free unlockables in the Museum.
The gift shop items for the Museum are plentiful. There are shirts from each game that have some really neat designs. There are also headphones with bugs on them, a Tikiman mask, and even PixelJunk slippers. Fans of the series will be very pleased with the selection that Home has to offer.
Check out the video below for a walkthrough of each PixelJunk exhibit in the Museum:
Now, as you may have noticed in the video, there are two questionable shirts being displayed. The male shirt has a picture of a Giant from Monsters with the phrase “I am Hard” on the front. The female shirt? It has a Pine on the front with the words “I am Easy” prominently displayed. Not sure how we feel about those just yet…
In the main video displayed at the entrance, a series of clips from the PixelJunk games are available and 1-4 (Shooter), 1-5, and 1-6 are teased at the end. Never have numbers been so exciting! Check out this picture below…
We hope you enjoyed the brief walkthrough of the PixelJunk Museum. The space is still in construction, so expect more updates in the coming months.
What do you think? Does Home do the PixelJunk series justice? What would you like to see? Maybe a dancing Tikiman?
