250GB PS3 announced for $349 in US, arriving November 3rd

250gbWell we knew it was coming, but now it is official: the 250GB PS3 is arriving in North America.

On the third of November, you will be able to walk into a store and pick up a 250GB PS3 for just $349, that’s $50 more than the 120GB model.

Of course hard drives are fairly cheap these days and so this isn’t that much of a great deal.

But for people who don’t know how easy it is to upgrade the hard drive, it should appear very attractive.

250GB is a lot of space and is a good tactic by Sony to get gamers downloading more content from the PlayStation Network.

It’s astonishing to think that a 60GB PS3 cost $599 just three years ago!

We hope Sony has some game bundles on the way too, as they are very common in Europe, but we will have to just wait and see.
