Our little green hopper is going to be getting a visual update this winter with Frogger Returns. Cars, logs, and hidden crocodiles all will be beautifully rendered in 3D, while keeping the classic gameplay relatively the same. That’s not to say there won’t be new additions…

Konami Digital Entertainment will bring the Frogger franchise to the PSN and WiiWare during Q4 2009. Aside from crossing streets and rivers, Frogger will take on new challenges with sewers and subway trains. To help, a variety of power-ups are available such as time reverse, invincibility and time freeze.

Players will also go head-to-head with each other in capture the pad based challenges as well as compete for the top score. Frogger has never looked so good.
