ZEN Studios, the creators of ZEN Pinball, will be bringing some much needed minigolf love to the PSN soon.

With the intentions of being the best golf experience, ZEN will be using their ‘battle-tested ball physics engine’ from ZEN Pinball to create a new standard in golf action.

Planet Minigolf will feature cartoony 3D graphics with six characters to customize. The single player mode will have 144 holes to play through with tons of hazards and interactive object to mess around with. With a deep single player experience and multiple courses to play in, what else could you ask for? Well…

Planet Minigolf will also contain a bunch of multiplayer modes with support for weekly tournaments and worldwide competitions online, in addition to the local hotseat mode. Online multiplayer in a miniature golf game? Yes please!

Expect more news regarding Planet Minigolf and it’s online components in the coming weeks. Don’t forget that more DLC for ZEN Pinball is also expected to be released soon, in the form of a NGS2 table. That should make the wait a bit easier, right?
