Tekken 6 gets PS3 exclusive content
Tekken 6 has gone gold and Namco has provided some more details about the game.
Not only will Tekken 6 feature a variety of online modes for versus and co-op play, but exclusive PlayStation Home support will be included as well!
PlayStation Home has been getting a lot of new content lately and the support from publishers is increasing at a rapid pace.
This isn’t the first time Namco has brought goodies to PlayStation Home. There have been costumes for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Namco game spaces, unlockables for the Namco Museum PSN title, and more.
Namco is now taking it a step further by bringing The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to Home:
Exclusive PlayStation®Home features include:
- TEKKEN 6 Title Lounge: Host Versus and Co-op Sessions: Gather friends and start matches from the Lounge within PlayStation Home; Online Scenario co-op mode coming free this winter;
- Home Rewards: Players have the chance to win exclusive costume pieces and furniture at the Lounge for their personal space.
Exclusive content for Home is not a new concept. Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and Batman: Arkham Asylum recently have supported Home by providing game spaces, game launching, unlockables, and even personal Home spaces for no additional cost.
It is a bit disappointing that online co-op in Tekken 6 will not be available at launch, but it’s good to know that the mode will be provided for free in just a few months. Until then, Get Ready For the Next Battle!
Tekken 6 releases on Oct. 27th in the US, on the 29th in JPN, and on the 30th in EU.
