“There is always hope” for Splinter Cell: Conviction on PS3
When Ubisoft came out and declared Splinter Cell: Conviction as a “true exclusive” for the Xbox 360, we bet all you Sam Fisher-ionados out there thought: “That’s it, I really need to let all hopes of hooking up with Sam on my PS3 again go.”
Time to jump back on the will-it-won’t-it merry-go-round again as, while speaking to Videogamer, Ubisoft’s CEO Yannis Mallat has suggested it might still happen.
Speaking at an Assassin’s Creed media event in London, Mallat said:
There is always hope. I can’t predict the future. But it’s good to hear that people who can’t play Splinter Cell are willing to.
Ubisoft have been quite vocal about how Splinter Cell: Conviction really plays to the 360′s strengths and was designed with that console in mind. So, expect a PS3 version with added content in about 12 months.
