Despite working on bringing White Knight Chronicles out of Japan, Level 5 has expressed interest in reviving the beloved Dark Cloud series if enough fans asked for it.

When the good people at Kotaku asked Yoshiaki Kusuda if there were any plans to bring back the Dark Cloud series, the answer was disappointingly a no. Not at the moment at least.

Fans shouldn’t give up just yet! After breaking hearts, Kusuda-san informed Kotaku that if enough people ask for the game, they would consider bringing it back.

“There are some who decided to join Level 5 because they love the Dark Cloud series. So, if requests from users should increase in the future, we would seriously consider making it.” – Yoshiaki Kusuda, Level 5
