Atlus to replace defective Demon’s Souls Deluxe Edition Strategy Guides
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
Some owners of Demon’s Souls have been making it known that the official strategy guide that comes with the Deluxe Edition has been fading unusually.
Don’t worry though, Atlus is here to save the day (again)!
Atlus announced today that they will be replacing all defective copies of the Demon’s Souls Official Strategy Guide. Full instructions on how to complete that process will be given next week. They did give a heads up on what to expect though.
We can say at this time that we will ask customers to mail in their cover and the first page of their guide as proof of purchase, leaving them with a usable book while we process their replacement claim.
It should be noted that not all of the guides are defective, so if yours isn’t fading unusually, then don’t bother tearing it up. If you haven’t been using the guide, you may want to start getting your hands on it to see if yours is defective.

This is the first I’ve heard of this. Guess my guide isn’t defective. The amount I’ve been using it, I’m sure I would have noticed. Yay Lucky Me!
I need to check mine. It should be all good though.
Strategy guide? Bah! I dislike the things, at most they should only be provided to help reviewers. Then, subsequently, not available until 6 months after game release for the public. I guess maybe my new career should be in writing and organising them.
It’s a small guide that comes with the game. It’s not your normal Brady Strategy guide. Even with it, this game is as hard as nails. You will die a lot! I spent the last two nights gathering enough souls so I could purchase a enough arrows to kill a dragon. I got that damn thing within a hair of dying and I ran out. I went to go get a few more and I died on the way. Now I have to start all over again. Aghhhhh! And I’m still in the first world. (level 1-3)
Thanks for the update. I do not yet have the game.
. However, I felt the need to seize the moment and complain (ha ha) about the BRADY Strategy strategy. I do have another friend that says this game is difficult. Now I am definitely intrigued. Thanks.
