Behind The Scenes Commentary With The Developers Of The God of War Collection
The God of War Collection is just one day away, can you handle the wait? Over at the PlayStation Blog, to kill some time until Tuesday hits, a new developer commentary video has been released and it’s pretty neat.
If you ever wanted to know how fast the developers were able to get God of War II running on the PS3, and other interesting tidbits about the development process, you’ll definitely want to watch this video.
Bluepoint games, the team re-mastering the God of War Collection, had an incredibly tight schedule of only three months to complete the project. Despite this, they were able to get the game running in HD at an uncompromised 60 FPS. Not to mention that both God of War games also have their own set of trophies for some dual platinuming fun.
In the video below, Andy O’Neil and Marco Thrush from Bluepoint games talk about the challenges and why they didn’t add or change anything in the original God of War games. Joining them is Tim Moss from Santa Monica Studios and he gives a very well deserved praise to the team behind the conversion.
Hopefully Bluepoint games will release more titles for the PS3. They obviously know their way around the technology and it would be interesting to see what they could come up with. Of course, if they wanted to re-master another set of PS2 games that would be great as well.
