Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising downloadable content and patch announced
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
Codemasters has announced a title update and downloadable content for their latest first-person shooter.
Although we are not huge fans of this game, the developers are releasing a patch to address some of the issues with the title.
The patch is said to be due for release shortly, so hopefully there won’t be too much of a wait.
The Skirmish downloadable content pack will feature four new multiplayer maps and two Fire Team Engagement (FTE) missions for both single player and co-operative.
The two new FTE missions are the ‘All Round Defence’ game that will allow you to control air support and attack helicopters as you defend your complex from the enemy.
While the second FTE mission ‘Uphill Struggle’ will require you to fight for control of an underground bunker when again under heavy fire.
The downloadable content will cost £3.19, $3.99 and €3.99 whenever it is released.
Whether the DLC and patch will make the game any more enjoyable remains to be seen.

Great to hear they’re patching it – the game’s still a lot of fun when it works, but it’s got all the functionality online of SOCOM (ie, it’s buggy as all get out). Thanks for the heads-up
