The Homerun – 12th November 09; North America has all the love
As the title suggests, only North America has been treated to any content this week, excluding the minor furniture additions in Europe.
Instead of this Small talk, we’ll go straight into the content shall we?
As you may know, we have commented on our Twitter about Square Enix preparing a special announcement on Final Fantasy XIII on Friday. While we wait to see what it’s all about, we can tell you that also tomorrow in Home will be a never seen before video which sounds like it will show users what goes on behind the scenes.
To find it, you will just need to (virtually) walk into on of the screens in the Theater.
With tomorrow’s announcement on the PlayStation blog, and Home getting an exclusive video, it appears Sony is still well behind the game despite the loss of exclusivity outside of Japan. Hopefully one day we can see a Final Fantasy XII space!
Moving on from Final Fantasy and to promote the ‘Fullmetal Alchemist‘ seasons on the PlayStation Store, between the 12th and 19th of November, you will be able to watch a FULL episode for free in the Theatre to give you a taste of what you’re missing out on.
If you’re not familiar with the programme, it’s a Japanese Anime series and it has a number of fans in the US. So if you’re one of them, this may be something that you’ll be interested in. Although it isn’t that much of a big deal, it’s something we would love to see for other shows too!
Have you heard about A&E’s new series, ‘Steven Seagal Lawman‘? It will follow the Hollywood actor as he enforces law and order on the streets of New Orleans. Sony has got together with the channel to show an advanced screening of the premiere show inside PlayStation Home on Wednesday the 2nd of December, 10pm PT.
Furthermore, you will get a free Lawman Vest just for entering the Theater. We love it when we get things for free so we recommend taking a look.
Finally we go back to game related content, this time in the theme of Assassin’s Creed. To celebrate the second outing of the franchise on the PlayStation 3, and the new PSP game, Ubisoft is releasing a load of clothing such as shirts and hats in inspiration of the game and to get you in the spirit.
Assassin’s Creed II will be releasing in North America on the 17th of November, or the 20th in Europe.
So that’s it for this week. We really hope that Europe doesn’t get left out again next week, but in the meantime there is still the PSPgo event running to get a free animated shirt – amazing!
