Time Extended: MAG beta to continue; new beta on the horizon

For those of you enjoying the fast-paced squad-based online experience in MAG and were upset that the current beta has expired, rejoice! Zipper have extended the current beta deadline.

Popping up over on the Official MAG Developer blog, Jeremy Dunham has announced that the current beta, originally scheduled to end on November 20th, will now be officially extended into next week.

A demo for Mushroom Wars has been announced and will be releasing in Europe and North America very soon. Naturally they won’t be releasing at the same time, that would only make sense. The EU PSN is actually getting it first… and that’s definitely a surprise.

Hello fellow constituents, Lady Liberty here (right hand pictured) to bring you North America’s PlayStation Store update.

The clear winners here are PSP and rhythm game owners with the release of adhocParty for the PSP and the usual derriere-load of songs released for Rock Band, The Beatles: Rock Band and Guitar Hero 5.

The recent Sony presentation delivered to investors has been a veritable treasure trove of new information regarding Sony’s plans for the future.

33 million PSN users, a firmware update planned to make all PS3s 3D compatible, not to mention new avenues for premium content to expand on to the PSN – the list goes on.

One thing that we almost missed on our first pass through the document, however, was the image accompanying the section where Sony rattle off the “5 Key Advantages of the PS3.”

Number #1 is the new Motion Controller but, if you look closely, have they actually gone and shown the final design of the new device?

Recently announced, and highly anticipated around this parts, Destructoid have posted up some new spangled images of what the HD version of No More Heroes looks like.

Gaining the subtitle Eiyuuichi no Rakuen (Heroes’ Paradise) for its Japanese release next year, the gallery show Travis and co. in all their cel-shaded glory – albeit with a few more cels and a lot more glory.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Tournament Edition FightStick Now Available

Earlier this year the Street Fighter IV FightSticks and FightPads made a huge impact and sold incredibly well and were highly praised. Due to that success, a second wave of SFIV peripherals are to be released.

A Marvel vs Capcom 2 TE FightStick was rumored to be in the making, and it was officially announced in September. The arcade stick is now available to purchase at GameStop.

Remember that survey Capcom had to decide whether the new Resident Evil 5 content would be delivered physically or digitally? Well, it turns out that the answer is both.

Capcom announced today that two new episodes along with character costumes, and a new “Mercenaries Reunion” mode will be released early next year.

So the latest PlayStation 3 firmware launched today entitled 3.10 and so we thought we would tell you what we think.

The biggest new addition in this firmware is Facebook integration. We’ll be honest straight away and say that it isn’t that much of a major deal.
