Konami detail Metal Gear Online 24-hour challenges

Konami has today announced the first details on their new 24-hour survival challenges which will be running once a month for the next four in MGO.

Starting on the 28th of November, the challenge will be open to any player but there will be a limit of around 3,000 in total.

IO Interactive along with Square Enix Europe are pleased to announce that the sequel to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men will be released in 2010. The game, entitled Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, will follow the two criminals through the Shanghai underworld.

After many of you pushing the VidZone team to finally release the much-loved music video service in your country, a lot of your requests have been answered.

Starting on the 26th of November, Netherlands, Portugal and Austria will all get access to the service by downloading it from the PlayStation Store.

It’s looking like it might be a big week for Sony’s new Digital Comics service.

Announced at this year’s E3, and due to be a major digital cog in the PSP’s wheel going forward, comic fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the new service will actually pan out.

Of course, we’re still holding out for Digital Comic to make an appearance on our beloved PS3. And it would appear that Sony, too, are at least listening.

Contrary to popular belief (also known as: the Internet), Modern Warfare 2 is currently not banned in Russia.

After a media storm over that scene in Infinity Ward’s latest blockbuster, reports of recalls and ban-hammers falling akimbo in the Motherland are, according to Activision when speaking to Eurogamer, spurious to say the least.

Now that Eidos Interactive have officially transmogrified into Square Enix Europe, it’s interesting to hear how the new relationship is shaping up around the globe.

Speaking at the 6th annual Montréal Interactive Gaming Summit, and wasting no time flying the Happy Families Flag, the Japanese gaming giant’s CEO, Yoichi Wada, revealed plans are in their nascent form for a collaboration between Eidos Montréal and Square Enix on what he refers to as, potentially, their “first development collaboration.”
