Digital ComicsIt’s looking like it might be a big week for Sony’s new Digital Comics service.

Announced at this year’s E3, and due to be a major digital cog in the PSP’s wheel going forward, comic fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the new service will actually pan out.

Of course, we’re still holding out for Digital Comic to make an appearance on our beloved PS3. And it would appear that Sony, too, are at least listening.

Speaking over at the Official EU blog, James Gallagher has responded to a commenter’s request for the new feature to eventually find its way to the PS3.

James states:

“Quite a few questions on this. I just spoke to Pete from the Digital Comics team, and while the service is only coming to PSP, the fact that many of you would like it on PS3 is really interesting.”

In other Digital Comic service news, @psncomics on Twitter, who are the official Twitter entity for the new service, have just confirmed that 2000AD will be part of the launch event. Judge Dredd on your PSP? Affirmative.
