Sony detail European Video Store, out tomorrow

Submitted by on Wednesday, 18 November 2009No Comment

casino_royaleSo have you been asking yourself; when is the PlayStation video store releasing in Europe?

Previously given a vague November release window, Sony has now confirmed that the service will be live as of tomorrow!

Launching in the UK, France, Germany and Spain, the video store will deliver movies in standard or high definition to buy and rent.

There will be over 800 movies available straight away to rent (from £2.49/€1.99) or to buy (from £6.99/€7.99), with new releases being added weekly.

Films available at launch will include the likes of Angels and Demons, Gran Torino, Terminator Salvation and Star Trek.

When you rent a movie, you have  up to two weeks to watch it, however once you start playing it, you have 48 hours to watch the rest of it.

To celebrate the launch of the service, right now SCEE are holding a special event where journalists, including PS3 Attitude of course, can see it for the first time in the EU.

It has been a very long wait, and from what we can see, it’s been well worth it.
