Uncharted 2Not prepared to wait on previously attached screenwriter Kyle Ward and his other game-to-screen adaptations, LatinoReview have reported that the producers of the upcoming Uncharted movie are now circling new writers.

Favourites for the gig are Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer who are in talks to pen the first of what will surely be many Drake adventures on the big screen.

While Ward will continue to work on drafts for the Bruce Willis vehicle Kane & Lynch and the follow-up to Hitman, Uncharted will likely now be entrusted into the capable hands of the writing team behind the enjoyable Matthew McConaughey starring Sahara and the upcoming Conan rebirth.

Still no news on who will be stepping into the shoes of the intrepid treasure hunter, Drake, though Hugh Jackman is apparently on producer’s Avi Arad’s “short-list”.
