Dante’s Inferno on the PS3 will be “Divine”

Submitted by on Thursday, 10 December 2009No Comment

Dante's Inferno Divine EditionIn addition to its own animated movie, Dante’s Inferno will be getting a makeover exclusively for PS3 owners.

Proclaimed as the “Divine Edition,” those who purchase the game on the PS3 will be getting a little more bang for their buck…

“We are thrilled to offer an exclusive game pack for PlayStation 3 gamers,” said Jonathan Knight, Executive Producer for Dante’s Inferno. “The PlayStation platform has a long history of delivering AAA action/adventure games. Adding Dante’s Inferno to that rich catalogue is very exciting for the team. ”

For the normal retail price of $59.99, buyers will get a few extra goodies.

  • Developer commentaries
  • Wayne Barlowe digital art book
  • Official game soundtrack
  • Digital version of the complete Longfellow translation of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno

That sounds like a pretty good deal to us, especially when the price remains the same. Perhaps EA and Visceral Games are sweating the competition and need something a little more tempting.

Dante’s Inferno is scheduled for a February 9th release date in North America and on the 28th in Europe. The demo will be included in today’s PSN Store update. Stay tuned for our impressions.
