GameInformer magazine have revealed some interesting snippets about the sequel to the last year’s pant-wetting Dead Space.

Taking place in larger environments, Issac, who this time out is more assertive and a veteran of the whole people-eating alien problem, will take the fight to the Necromorphs on Sprawl, a space station built by one of Saturn’s moon shards.

On his second outing, Isaac Clarke will also speak, making him more a character in the universe rather than a laconic persona who just likes cutting up extraterrestrials.

You can expect new weapons – interestingly enough one is called the javelin gun – and the online component hinted at before has been confirmed.

Executive producer Steve Papoutsis, teases:

“From the start of this project, we’ve had a team of people working on this. It’s a core feature to the game; we’re taking it very serious, as we do with anything in the Dead Space franchise. All I can say is that it’s really fun, and you’ll get to strategically dismember your friends.”
