We always thought that this was going to be an almost certainty, but it has now been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will be getting a Collector’s Edition next year.

We can pretty much assume that this is for North America as well as Europe, and Final Fantasy XIII fans should now be rejoicing at the news in both regions.

The information comes from a new Square Enix Europe newsletter where the publishers confirm what we had always hoped for:

If you thought your excitement for FINAL FANTASY XIII had reached fever pitch, brace yourself for the news of a forthcoming Limited Collector’s Edition version of next year’s most anticipated title.

However, they will not tell us what will be in the box or any prices but there should be enough packed in to satisfy the most hardcore of fans.
