There will be a Final Fantasy XIV beta on the PS3

The application for the PC version of the Final Fantasy XIV beta is now available. PS3 owners are left out at this time, but it does look like there will be a beta sign up eventually.
When the TGS09 trailer for Final Fantasy XIV hit the web, there was a disclaimer about a beta test at the very end of the video. In the past it was stated that there would be no beta test for the PS3 version of XIV. There have also been reports claiming that there will be a beta but it will initially be for the PC only. If the fine print on the PC sign up page is any indication, it looks like there will indeed be one in the future.
The current tester recruitment is for the Windows version of the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test only. Details regarding recruitment for the PlayStation 3 version will be released at a later date.
It’s not much information, but it’s good to know that PS3 owners will be able to try Square Enix’s latest MMORPG before it releases.
