Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial detailed

gt5 timetrial Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial detailedSony has fully detailed what to expect from the Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial when it releases on the PlayStation Store this Thursday.

This will be the first time gamers get the chance to test the development of Gran Turismo 5 since the Prologue game early last year.

One of the things that we have been dying to find out is the track that we will get the chance to play, and it has been revealed as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway course.

Two time trials will be available where you will be driving the Nissan 370Z in both them. But what separates the two is that in one of them you will be driving the regular model, while in the other you will be driving the special tuned edition.

The tuned edition is actually the easiest to drive and the best car to drive when you first play the demo.

But there are more details. You will be forced to use the harder professional driving physics with many assets turned off. This will make it challenging for many, but after all the top drivers get a prizes.

In selected European countries, the fastest 20 players for the combination of the times for tuned and stock cars from each country will be invited to the national final. Here you will race against the top players in the country and by qualifying in the top 20, you will recieve an invitation to the GT Academy 2010. Full details can be found here.

For those of you in US and Canada it is slightly different as the top player from each country will be invited with a guest each to the Indianapolis 500 race next May with airfare and hotel accommodations already paid for.

So good prizes for wherever you live! We cannot wait to try this baby out, and we hope you share our anticipation. Bring on Thursday!
