Mega Man 10 coming to PSN – Happy Birthday, Mega Man!

Submitted by on Wednesday, 16 December 2009One Comment

Mega Man 10 The blue bomber is back! The latest issue of Famitsu has confirmed that the retro follow up to Mega Man 9 will be coming to the PlayStation Network!

It was inevitable that we would see the return of Mega Man to the PSN, but now it’s official. Excited? Just look at the new box art. It’s freaking epic!

In last weeks reveal of Mega Man 10 from the Nintendo Power magazine, it was announced that there will be three playable characters this time around. Mega Man will be joining his brother Proto and some unrevealed mystery character. In Mega Man 9 Proto Man was downloadable content, so it’s great to see him available from the start.

For those that couldn’t handle the difficulty of Mega Man 9, Capcom will allow noobs to play MM10 on a new “Easy Mode” difficulty. It’s not known how easy this will actually make the game, but it’s always nice to have the option. Obviously there will be new robots to fight (Sheep-Man for instance), new powers to steal, and new levels to constantly die in.

It’s really great that Capcom is staying true to what made Mega Man so awesome in the first place. Here are a few screenshots from Rockman 10: Threat From Outer Space!!:

It’s unknown at the moment when Mega Man 10 will be releasing, but information is bound to be coming very soon. At 9PM PST on December 16, Capcom Unity will be doing a live webcast with Inafune-san to celebrate Mega’s 22nd birthday. The event will be translated live so everyone can watch and even understand. Woot!

Since it is Mega Man’s birthday today (it’s already the 17th), why not leave a comment sharing your most memorable experiences from the games?
